About

ToLearnKorean.com is a website made by Bryan Hogan to help other Korean learners.

Striving to be an open and high-quality source to learn Korean. Everything gets checked by native Korean speakers.

ToLearnKorean is a guide to learning Korean. It’s free, open, free of ads, free of tracking and user-friendly. I value high-quality content and a good user experience. Each lesson should be as relevant and as simple yet complete as possible.

I use simple language in the chapters, there’s no point in making things harder than they have to be. Later chapters do become more specific and advanced in their wording, but each word of each sentence is chosen carefully with intention.

Why am I building this Korean guide? I’m learning Korean myself, and teaching others what I learn helps me practice and improve. I also like having one resource that I can refer to for everything I need and have covered, so why not make it public as well?

I think the UX of many guides out there is not that great, and high-quality content is rare. There sadly is a lot of (AI) slop and misleading content out there now. So I want to build a good resource for others to learn Korean and learn about a place I love a lot, Korea.

Working on this guide is hard and it takes a lot of time. I’m not getting anything in return. I am not promoting anything paid on here, there are no ads, no paid courses, no paid Anki decks / PDFs / personal lessons / whatever else you can think of. I am also not collecting personalized cookies nor tracking you for advertising.

If you have the time to give feedback or resources to support this project financially, I would greatly appreciate it.
